The challenges were exacerbated as most countries were heavily reliant on highly developed markets like the US and Europe for their import needs. Feeling helpless, Brijesh and Mark made a bold vow. They decided to pave a new path that would provide affordable and accessible diagnostic and healthcare services to the people of India, and eventually the entire Southeast Asia, armed with the latest developments in the field by building capabilites for Labware, Chemistry and Automation in the region. This marked the genesis of LabQom.

The LabQom Story

LabQom was the brainchild of Brijesh and Mark, two seasoned professionals steeped in the nuances of the diagnostics industry. Their combined experience, a staggering 50 years, had been spent nurturing the growth of IVD companies across South and Southeast Asia, turning fledgling ventures into thriving enterprises.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought their bustling lives to an abrupt halt. Bound by the walls of their homes, Brijesh and Mark watched in despair, the horrific waves of the virus washing over South Asia and parts of Southeast Asia. The mounting death toll was a grim reminder of the struggle for diagnostic access that had already been difficult in these regions.
